about

Commit provides a lush collection of tech-laden goodness in the "Saturn Return EP". He's Australia's latest champion of the signature sound pioneered by fellow countrymen (and Paradise Lost artists) Boot, Sook and Droid Sector - bleak techy sci-fi goodness - and he takes us on a journey to the farthest reaches of deep space:

"Saturn Return" starts off on an epic tip, with Commit's unique midbass contortions outlining the plot of a fantastic journey to the stars. "Take Me Home" teams him with the badman Sook for a techy affair utilizing clever percussion, foreboding alien atmospherics and a dramatic vocal hook to devastating effect. Keeping on the collaboration theme, Subfect joins our man on "The Void", pushing things even deeper into darkness with sparse, organic drumwork and an oversized militant bassline - one for the eyes-down skankers. "Southern Promise" rounds out this outstanding effort with a futuristic spaghetti western theme featuring growling midbass and haunting guitar licks, probably close to what Ennio Morricone would have produced had he been born in 2020!

With the help of his "Saturn Return EP", Commit is carving his own unique sci-fi niche and sound in the scene. Enjoy the ride!
