about

The Next and Bruno Sanchez are some old fellas still making beats and bonded over their achy backs and love for hip hop and built some tracks.  This is just one of the several volumes of tracks that we'll be releasing over the next couple of years.

Put any preconceptions on genre to bed on this release, though.  FRANKENMOODY is not interested in any consistent BPM.  What's consistent?  The use of dusty breaks, cinematic atmospheres and samples, an MPC drum machine, and a love of some funk.
Undercvr, a collaboration between Bruno Sanchez and Italy's unorthodox breakbeat surgeon, Booca, kicks things off with the breakiest damn track you may have heard at 115 BPM!  The Next and Bruno Sanchez come with a DNB two-sided tale with Bella Bella Isabella, where The Next's stylish slow roll-out MPC product meets a crisp second half channeling Bruno Sanchez's inner Peshay.  Dreadmaul joins the party on Dusty Dust, which is the dirtiest trip hop beat in a minute... close your eyes.  FRANKENMOODY bring back the funk next on the optimistic (we need some optimism in 2020) People Power, followed by Bruno Sanchez's hypnotic (literally) interlude, Deeper and Deeper.  Finally FRANKENMOODY's theme song is a simple statement, bringing it into boom bap territory with Born Hip.  You're simply born with it...or not.
