about

Paradise Lost Recordings is delighted to present the “Ghosts and Ghouls EP” from Estonian sensation Bisweed. Being championed by Mala among others across the globe, these tunes are heads-down cerebrum-infecting business firmly locked in the dungeons of deep, dark, minimalistic Dubstep.

“Ghosts” starts us off, and does so with abandon. Bisweed utilizes only the bare necessities to make a truly powerful, haunting tune with massive floor impact. ”Ghouls” follows up with eerie pads and more signature walking subbassline madness, exploring the dark corners of the musical underworld. ”Deadly R&B” gives us a bit more of an old skool junglist/808 workout while ”Destruction” showcases Bisweed's skills with unusual percussion sounds and sampled/looped grooves. Watch the second drop on this minimal future grime banger which serves up yet another heavy helping of dark bass bliss.

This kind of music wouldn't sound out-of-place in a mad scientist's laboratory, but we feel it is best used to devastate the dancefloors of this Earth. Crisp production, post- junglist percussion and nausea-inducing low-end define the sound that is Bisweed, and this is only Chapter 1 of the Ghost story...
